Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

Main
  • 2 salmon fillets around 6 ounces each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional but awesome
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and place the salmon fillets skin side down.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the salmon.
  5. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the salmon fillets.
  6. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, if using.
  8. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh salmon if available. Avoid overcooking by checking for doneness with a fork—salmon should flake easily. Add a pinch of cayenne or crushed red pepper for a spicy kick. This recipe pairs well with roasted vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, steamed rice, or a simple green salad.
