Easy Baked Salmon

A healthy, delicious, and foolproof baked salmon recipe that's ready in under 30 minutes and uses simple ingredients you already have in your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets around 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley dry works too
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional lemon slices for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped parsley.
  3. Lay the salmon fillets skin side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush them with the olive oil and herb mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the flesh flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Garnish with optional lemon slices or extra parsley before serving.

Notes

For crispy edges, use the broiler during the last 2 minutes of baking while keeping a close eye. You can meal prep this by baking multiple fillets and storing them in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
