Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix gently using your hands until just combined.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet, keeping it tall with rounded edges.
- In a separate bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to create the glaze.
- Spoon two-thirds of the glaze over the meatloaf and spread evenly.
- Bake for 50 minutes, then remove from oven and brush with the remaining glaze.
- Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use 80% lean ground beef to maintain moisture and flavor. Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to keep the loaf tender. Letting the meatloaf rest before slicing helps retain its juices.
